Day 1:
Use the free shuttle bus to the hotel (you will receive detailed information from us when booking). Enjoy the hotel amenities (time to recover from jetleg or for a drink). The rest of the day can be used as freetime.
Day 2:
Seize the day and visit Chicago's Columbus Ave, Adam Street, Lake Michigan and the famous Sears Tower today. The motorbikes are ready to go at the hotel,
but we use the public transport or take a taxi, because we can't find any parking spaces for the bikes here.
Day 3:
Today it really starts: we leave the city and drive past many farms and typical American houses on rural roads. The first gas stations on Route 66 appear and in Mc Lean we see the first large grain elevators.
Day 5:
A bit on the Interstate, then you will see the hiding place of Jesse James "Meramec Caverns", further via Rolla to Lebanon.
Day 6:
Via Springfield and Joplin to Miami. Through the state of Kansas to Oklahoma where the typical Route 66 displays can be seen.
Day 7:
We visit Tulsa, the second largest city in Oklahoma. Home to 860 oil companies, it is now the oil capital of the United States. Tulsa is also known for its bridges. Nowhere is Route 66 more iconic than in Oklahoma, where the road blends into the landscape as if it were a part of it. Through hilly country we continue to Oklamoma City.
Day 8:
On this day you drive through the former hunting grounds of the Cheyenne and Arapaho Indians, parallel to Highway 40.
Day 9:
Today we visit the Cadillac Ranch, where the automobiles of the same name were given a surprising, colorful use. We then reach the state of New Mexico and Santa Fe with its houses built in adobe style. There are many art galleries here, ranging from the very tasteful to the less tasteful.
Day 10:
We stock up on plenty of water for the trip, as we're driving into the New Mexico desert via Albuquerque. We stay overnight in Gallup, also known as the Indian Capital of the World. Many descendants of the Hopi, Zuni and Navajo Indians live here.
Day 11:
We reach the territory of the Navajo Indians, visit the Petrified Forest. The forest owes its name to the many petrified trees and fossils and is as real as you imagine desert. This Flagstaff hotel is just off Old Route 66.
Day 12:
We have a day off, Ideal to enjoy the Grand Canyon. A drive of about two hours takes you to the South Rim, where you can immortalize yourself with the mile-wide canyon. You can even see it from the moon. An exciting helicopter flight and the performance in the IMAX theater are recommended.
Day 13:
We drive to cozy Williams for coffee. Then continue along Historic 66. If you want, you can get a shave in Seligman at the famous 'Angels' Barbershop. Ladies: you should ask whether they also shave their legs there.
Day 15:
Via Ed's Camp and Oatman we reach the state of Nevada. If you want, you can spend the night in the entertainment city of Las Vegas.
Day 15:
Because of the heat of the day we leave early. On the way we visit a ghost town and we spend the night on Route 66 again.
Day 16:
We conclude "Get your kicks on Route 66" with a magnificent motorcycle tour through the mountains of California until we reach the Pacific Ocean.
Day 17:
The day is at leisure.
We enjoy the City of Angels attractions and activities such as Universal Studios, Hollywood or just lounging on Venice Beach.
Day 18:
Today it's time to say goodbye to our newfound friends. Transfer to the airport or start of your connecting stay.
Day 19:

★★★★★ USA "Historic Route 66" 07.05.2022. On several motorcycle trips (Himalaya India, Baja California Mexico and Route66 USA) my son and I were extremely satisfied with Las Almas sports trips. Mr. Rogge was also very helpful with motorcycle damage processing after a trip. The accommodations were always adapted to the purpose of the trip. The tour guides were always helpful during the trips. Gladly again. / Detlef Meissner
