The Lodge
Tongabezi Lodge is an exclusive lodge hidden away from all the hustle and bustle, nestled in the lush vegetation along the Zambezi River banks. The lodge's accommodations are located in a wonderful setting amidst old trees on the rushing bend of the Zambezi River. Tongabezi Lodge provides a 'butler service' for the entire duration of the stay in order to be able to offer its guests top personalized service and absolute comfort. The camp's swimming pool is built into a natural rock cliff. All meals are served in an elegant dining room, on the terrace or on the pool deck, all with unobstructed views of the mighty Zambezi and its wildlife along the banks.

The lodge can accommodate up to 20 guests and consists of 5 cozy cottages and 5 luxurious semi-open houses, originally built of stone and river grass, which almost seem to merge with nature. All rooms have fabulous river views and have en-suite bathrooms. The 5 houses - Honeymoon House, Tree House, Bird House, Dog House and Nut House were organically built from local materials and elegantly furnished. In order to create a unique visual and auditory nature experience for the guest, the bedrooms are open to the river side and are equipped with a (double) four-poster bed protected by a large mosquito net.

DAY 1st & 2nd ARRIVAL IN Livingstone

Upon arrival at Livingstone Airport, guests are warmly welcomed and driven to Tongabezi Lodge in Livingstone, where they will spend the first two days of their "Botswana Deluxe Safari" in the Tongabezi Cottage. Tongabezi Lodge is an exclusive lodge, far away from mass tourism, located on the banks of the Zambezi River, 15 km upstream from the magnificent Victoria Falls. It is small and secluded, set in a quiet ebony grove on a sweeping bend in the Zambezi.

Activities:

Activities in Tongabezi include guided canoe trips, guided hikes with lunch on one of the islands, fishing, a visit to the Victoria Falls from the Zambian side, a game drive in Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, a hike in the gorge below the falls, a cultural visit to a local museum, a visit to Livingstone and sunrise and sunset boat trips on the Zambezi. White water rafting, horse riding and bungee jumping are also available at an additional cost. The camp also has its own croquet lawn (African rules apply!), a jetty, a tennis court and a school for the local children.

3rd & 4th day

SELINDA CAMP, Linyanti

After a morning activity (time permitting) and breakfast, guests will be transferred to Kasane Airport via road transfer. From here, a small plane continues to Selinda Camp , where guests spend 2 nights.



Selinda is a luxurious yet understated camp on the banks of the Selinda Spillway, which connects the Okavango Delta with the wetlands, rivers and floodplains of the Linyanti and Kwando. The shady camp is built on wooden platforms and offers unique views of the canals, flood plains and the open savannah - only interrupted by a few enchanting palm islands. Selinda is widely known for this breathtaking view.

Activities
Activities include game drives in open safari vehicles during the day and night and, depending on water levels, boat trips on the Zibadjanja Lagoon. Game viewing opportunities in Selinda are exceptional, particularly in the dry season, and giraffes, baboons, black-backed jackals, elephants, wildebeest, cheetahs, crocodiles, lions, wild dogs, hippos, honey badgers, reedbuck, roan and sable antelope and a variety of bird species can be spotted. For the more active guests, short hikes near the camp can be organized upon request, as well as mokoro (traditional dugout canoe) trips and fishing trips.

The recently renovated Selinda Camp consists of nine spacious safari tents, each with two comfortable beds, covered with airy mosquito nets which add to the romantic atmosphere. The grass roof, together with the ceiling fans and ventilation slots, ensures that the inside of the tent is cool on hot days. The rooms are equipped with spacious en-suite bathrooms which have stone bathtubs and showers in a classic design. Two sinks and sliding doors which either provide privacy or enable an open-air bathing experience provide additional luxury.

SANDIBE LODGE, Private concession adjacent to the Moremi Game Reserve After a morning activity (if time permits) and breakfast, guests are transferred in a light aircraft from Selinda Camp to Sandibe Okavango Safari Lodge , where guests stay for 2 nights. Sandibe Safari Lodge is nestled between streams and grassy plains deep in the Okavango Delta in a private concession bordering the Moremi Game Reserve. The lodge is located in one of the most wildlife-rich areas in Botswana.

Activities
During their stay, guests at Sandibe Lodge can take part in various activities. Day and night game drives are offered daily in open safari vehicles in the private concession (with a headlight at night). These are accompanied by experienced guides and trackers. Sandibe continues to offer a wealth of bird watching opportunities with over 340 recorded species.

Sandibe Safari Lodge is nestled between streams and grassy plains deep in the Okavango Delta in a private concession bordering the Moremi Game Reserve. The entire lodge is designed in copper tones, which makes it look very elegant.

The trip takes guests on a private helicopter flight from Chiefs Camp to Xaranna Camp, where guests stay for 2 nights. Xaranna Tented Camp is located on a permanent lagoon in the Okavango Delta in a 25,000 hectare area of untouched wilderness. Boasting breathtaking canal views, the camp offers a wilderness experience on land and water that combines the Okavango's main attractions.



Activities
Xaranna offers many different ways to explore the delta's wilderness: game drives in open 4x4 vehicles, peaceful and relaxing mokoro trips and exciting walking safaris are available. You often come across large herds of buffalo, from young calves to impressive old bulls. On two daily game drives in open safari vehicles, mokoros and motorboats (water levels permitting), guests experience the irresistible combination of water and wildlife. Walking safaris (subject to availability) offer the opportunity to take a close look at the surroundings. On night trips you can gain a fascinating insight into the busy nocturnal activity of the delta.

The private lounge, designed for relaxation, consists of a spacious reading and gaming area, and the open-air dining terrace provides the perfect backdrop for meals. Guests can also choose to enjoy refreshments between the cozy cushions in their own tent.

For parents with children up to 16 years old, the lodge offers limited, suitable accommodation with an additional bed. Because children under 6 years of age cannot participate in the wildlife activities offered by the lodge, a babysitter may be required during the activities. Here the little ones can learn and discover new things through exciting, interactive activities and, above all, have a lot of fun!
