We cross the 5013m high Mila Pass, which also forms the watershed between Lhasa and the Nyang River. A great and very varied landscape awaits us here. With a bit of luck we will see the Namche Barwa mountain (7787m), which was voted the most beautiful mountain in China some time ago. Debate lesson with the monks of Sera Monastery Since the landscape between Lake Ranwu and Bayi is one of the most impressive in Tibet, it doesn't bother us that we have to drive through it a second time. Day 12 Gyatsa – Tsetang 150 km
Day 12 Gyatsa – Tsetang 150 km
We decide on site whether we cross a spectacular pass on the way to Tsetang or continue on a newly built road along the Yarlung Tsanpo. That depends on the road conditions. Day 15 Sakya – Tingri 250 km
Day 15 Sakya – Tingri 250 km
After breakfast we visit the Sakya Monastery. Unique as a building and in its atmosphere. Then 20km back to road 318 and up to the Gyatso-La pass (5,220m) before we reach Shegar. With a little luck we can see Mt. Everest for the first time from here. After another 60km we reach Tingri. If the weather permits, we can see Mt. Everest and Cho Oyo from the terrace of our hotel.

We spend the night in the Rongphu Monastery Guesthouse at 4,980m.
Day 17
Day 17 Shigatse 120 km
Day 17 Shigatse 120 km

Hello Bernhard, I did the Tibet tour. Everything, including the return flight you organized, worked wonderfully. The tour guides were experienced and extremely competent. And the tour itself – an unforgettable experience. The unique landscape of Tibet and the culture, which is completely foreign to us, must be experienced to be believed. This trip is certainly one of the absolute highlights that you can have in your life “in terms of vacation”.
Thank you very much, greetings, Bernd
