» »Travel request code: Cacahuamilpa underground rivers

n the north of the state of Guerrero there are two of the most impressive and beautiful underground rivers in our country: the San Jerónimo River (6,800 m) and the Chontalcoatlan River (5,700 m), which cross the Otlaltepec hill just below the tourist caves of Cacahuamilpa, which in one place called "two mouths" appear and form the Amacuzac. The route of both is variable and depends heavily on the people, but takes an average of 5 to 7 hours.

These underground rivers are fully active cavities that are in full development due to the water flowing through their cavity and are gradually eroding the limestone to be able to get to the outlet. Over the years, an underground river can cause its cavity to change, leaving a dry cave and allowing formations to grow extensively.

No previous experience is required to operate this tour, only that you are over 12 years old, in good physical condition and not suffering from any medical condition (high or low blood pressure, asthma, claustrophobia, nocturnal phobia, etc.).
