After your arrival, you will be expected and warmly welcomed at the airport in Kilimanjaro. You will then be transferred to your hotel where you can recover and acclimatize from the flight.

Arusha - Lake Manyara

Arusha - Lake Manyara
After breakfast, your guide will discuss the activities during the safari with you. Afterwards you drive through beautiful landscapes and past traditional African villages to Lake Manyara. Upon arrival, you will go on your game drive and stop for a leisurely picnic lunch.

The Lodge
Kirurumu Manyara Lodge has been sensitively integrated into the landscape and offers views over plains, mountains and down to Lake Manyara National Park. At the back of the lodge, the Ngorongoro Highlands rise in their green, lush splendor and form the transition to the Ngorongoro Crater. The restaurant and the lovingly decorated bar, which were built in the style of a tent, also offer a fascinating panoramic view. From Arusha it takes around 2.5 hours to reach Kirurumu Manyara Lodge.

The lodge consists of 22 tents, which are simple but charming. There are 2 honeymoon suites and 2 family cottages. All tents/rooms are equipped with a bath or shower/toilet, wooden terrace and Makuti roof.

3rd Day

Serengeti National Park

Serengeti National Park
This morning you will drive to Serengeti National Park with a picnic in your luggage. On the way you will make a short detour to the Olduvai Gorge Museum, where the oldest human bone finds can be seen. In the afternoon you will reach the Serengeti and have your first game drive on the way to your accommodation.

The Serengeti Kati Kati Tented Camp is located in the center of the Serengeti National Park and offers the ideal starting point for wildlife viewing. The mobile tent camp is located in the central Serengeti and is therefore ideally located to visit the places on the large plains where most animals are found at any time of the year. In the middle of the camp is the communal tent with a cozy dining area. The campfire every evening invites you to end the day after an exciting day with up-close nature experiences.

You'll spend the whole day in the Serengeti on exciting game drives and can choose to take a picnic along with you or return to your lodge for lunch.

5th Day

Serengeti - Ngorongoro Crater

Serengeti - Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. From the crater rim we descend 600m into the Ngorongoro Crater. Observe the resident wildlife there during your 6-hour game drive. The crater was created by the collapse of a volcano comparable in height to Kilimanjaro. Observe the many wild animals that live here during your game drive.

Small inn
The Lodge
Ngorongoro Farm House is a small guest house located near the Ngorongoro crater rim and about 4 km from Lodoare Gate with views of the Oldeani Volcano. The spacious main building, which has a thatched roof, contains a reception, bar, dining room, library and lounge with an open fireplace around which guests can meet in the evening for stimulating conversations. Guests have access to a swimming pool and two restaurants.

The rooms are spread across 50 large and comfortable cottages, decorated in a colonial style. All rooms are very spacious and have a private bathroom and private terrace.

The 20 hectare farm is still in use today. Tour the farm with an experienced guide and learn everything about life and work on the farm. Discover the vegetable garden, the farm animals and learn interesting facts about coffee cultivation on a guided tour of the coffee plantation. Afterwards you can take part in the coffee roasting.

6th Days

Ngorongoro Crater - Tarangire National Park

Ngorongoro Crater - Tarangire National Park
Today you continue to your accommodation in Tarangire National Park. Use the day and explore the wonderful national park. You can choose whether to take a picnic with you on the go or return to your lodge for lunch. Here, herds of up to 300 elephants scratch for water veins in the dry riverbed, while migrating wildebeest, zebras, buffalo, gazelles, red antelopes and eland crowd the dwindling waterholes.

Ideal starting point for trips
The Camp
Lake Burunge Tented Camp is an ideal base for game drives in Tarangire, as you can reach the national park in just 20 minutes. In the main building there is a lounge and bar on a wooden viewing deck. This elevated platform is the perfect place to relax and watch the setting sun over Lake Burunge with a sundowner in the evening or simply enjoy the cozy warmth of the fire pit.

The 20 extremely comfortable tents and the 10 lodge rooms are equipped with a king-size or 2 single beds. Mosquito nets and an en suite bathroom are also available. Guests can enjoy excellent views over Lake Burunge from their private terrace.

In addition to game drives in Tarangire National Park, known for its incredibly high wildlife density, the camp's activities include bush sundowners where guests can enjoy outstanding views over the national park and a drink and snacks on an elevated kopje surrounded by wilderness. From Lake Burunge Tented Camp you can also visit a traditional village and learn something about the Mbuwge people and their culture.

Tarangire - Arusha

Tarangire - Arusha
After breakfast you will drive back to Arusha. After returning, we will take you to your hotel or to the airport to fly back to Germany or to Zanzibar for a beach holiday.
